The Challenge
PCB engineers and procurement teams were bogged down by manual data entry, hand-transcribing item codes, quantities, and critical metadata from multi-page stackup PDF documents into individual Excel spreadsheets. Once transcribed, staff had to manually cross-reference each item code inside the company's ERP system to fetch and verify descriptions. This repetitive process was highly error-prone, distracted skilled engineering talent with low-value administrative work, and scaled poorly as the volume of stackup design revisions grew.
The Solution
CurveFore deployed a localized desktop automation framework that seamlessly bridges technical documentation with corporate data infrastructure.
Intelligent PDF Parsing: Automatically scans complex PCB stackup drawings to instantly isolate and extract vital structural metadata, including item codes, quantities, ink types, panel sizes, stack names, and revision IDs.
Live ERP Enrichment Engine: Programmed a data-matching loop that searches the ERP live for every extracted item code, automatically appending the item description directly to the record.
Automated Revision Output: Generates perfectly structured output file for downstream processing on a single click, completely automated and dynamically named using the correct MP Code and Revision syntax for ironclad version control.
